Jukebox Glory

Is currently on show at the White Room Gallery in Leamington Spa. The exhibition is in tandem with Horace Panter. The legendary Specials Bass player, who is currently showing his "Robots and Saints" paintings.

Bio

Art should speak to you. It should reflect the things in life that make you who you are. It is the most subjective thing in the world, one man’s Monet is another man’s mundane. Art should make you think, make you smile and fill you with wonder. If you can illicit such feelings from watercolour paintings of flowers then you’re pretty well served by the mainstream art world. If however your passion comes from the aesthetic beauty of Music, Football, Scooters, Clothes, Youth Movements, Gang Culture and everything that makes Britain great then you’ve been left pretty short changed until now. Jamie Byrne aims to change the perception that Art is a closed shop. His pieces offer a snapshot of the highs and lows of British subculture through the modern ages. Mods, Rockers, Rude Boys, Chav’s, Dandies, Hero’s, Villains, Scooter Boys and Casuals are all represented and rendered with humour and reverence in equal measures. A professional video game concept artist, Art Byrne is his way to break free from the constraints of everyday working life, free from the expectations of others and free to explore his passions. His current collection draws on the inspiration of great lyrics. Some choices are obvious, some are more obscure, but each are from a song that will mean something to someone somewhere. ArtByrne could quite possibly be the best visual jukebox ever. All artwork available to buy and commissions accepted.

Whats going on?

As someone famously once said! Well 2012 looks like being a busy year for Jamie. As well as continuing with his "Jukebox Glory" themed artwork. Jamie has some other exciting projects on the horizon. A range of greeting cards are in the pipeline. And a range of Arcrylic paintings on canvas will finally get some attention. He will be showing his new work at galleries in Leamington Spa and Bath.
